Beginning June 2, 2025, applications for Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality Improvement (CMAQ) Program funds will be available on AMATS website. AMATS will accept applications through July 18, 2025. Eligible applicants within the Greater Akron area of Portage and Summit counties and the northeastern portion of Wayne County should submit an electronic copy of their application(s) to AMATS Planning Administrator Matt Stewart (mstewart@akronohio.gov) by 4 p.m. on Friday, July 18, 2025.
Project applications received by AMATS will be processed, scored, and ranked by the Technical Advisory Committee TIP Subcommittee. The subcommittee will then develop a list of projects to be recommended for funding. The draft list of projects will be presented to the Ohio Statewide Urban CMAQ Committee (OSUCC) and AMATS Policy Committee for consideration and approval.
