The Ohio Department of Transportation (ODOT) is developing Access Ohio 2050, the state's long-range transportation plan, but the department can't do it alone. The state wants to hear from you!
Access Ohio 2050 charts a course by ODOT to meet the future needs of the state's traveling public. The new plan will address advances in technology and deliver a transportation system that supports Ohio's economic, social, and natural environments.
The department is providing many opportunities throughout the state, including the Greater Akron area, for the public to provide feedback on proposed Access Ohio 2050 strategies. You're invited to join ODOT on Tuesday, Oct. 21 at the Akron-Summit County Public Library located at 60 S. High Street in Akron at one of two scheduled events:
- A Stakeholders Workshop at 1-3 p.m. for local community, engineering, and planning officials. (This event requires registration. Please click here.)
- A Public Open House from 4-5:30 p.m., which is open to all.
Find out how the transportation system in your area performs in terms of safety, congestion, and road and bridge conditions. If you are unable to attend, you may participate in an Access Ohio 2050 survey, by clicking here.
