AMATS is now making available a library of materials to be "rented" by Planning Grant Recipient Communities. Materials can be borrowed for temporary traffic installations to test potential benefits and gather public input on proposed projects. To be eligible to borrow materials, the pop-up must be a recommended improvement from any previous Connecting Communities Planning Grant study.

What is a Pop-Up?

A pop-up demonstration project is a test drive of a potential permanent installation, with the intention to gather public response to the treatment using reversible and low-cost materials. The configuration of a roadway can be changed using non-permanent supplies, making this ideal to quickly address traffic issues.
