The Highway Preservation Needs report portrays the future challenges facing the region. It is estimated that to preserve our current roadways the area will need almost $2 billion over the next 20 years for maintenance. Due to the limited available funding for highway improvements, AMATS has put a priority on preserving the current roadway system.
