Bicycle and Pedestrian facilities include sidewalks, bike lanes, bike paths, and multipurpose trails. All are important to the regional transportation network. In recent years AMATS has put a priority on bicycle and pedestrian planning. This emphasis includes ensuring that high traffic areas for pedestrians and bicycles get appropriate consideration on road projects as well as a commitment to completing the regional recreational trails.
